What Customers Say About Illy espresso pods, DECAF.:

Another great illy product. Who knew that decaf could taste just as good as regular.
I also found that trimming the extra filter around the edge of the pod helps to get that good seal you need. oh and I have the DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker and they fit perfectly in this machine. I DO get a great crema if you preheat the machine for at least 5 minutes or so. seriously the best pods I've ever tried. Wish I had a fortune so I could use these all the time but from now on will have to use them sparingly. I use two for a double shot each day which means I run through a tin quite quickly and it IS expensive. Excellent taste which is hard to find in any decaf coffee.
Easy Does It.what else can I say. I never realized how easy pods are to use with an espresso machine (it's my first time). Illy packs the espresso well so I don't have any flavor issues and its easy to clean after a brew.
The coffee is delicious and the pods are not individually wrapped. Every shot wasn't individually stored.
I've never noticed a difference between the flavor of the first pod vs. With Illy, there are only 18 pods in a tin, so I go through them pretty quickly anyway.
I used to use Starbucks pods, but I began to feel bad about the 4-5 little non-recyclable wrappers I was throwing away every single day of the year. When I used loose ground espresso, I stored it all in one sealed container and it was fine.
the last pod in the tin. Illy was a great compromise for me.
Frankly the argument about needing all the fussy little packaging for freshness doesn't make much sense me.
